		<description>I think I&#039;m possibly the best example of joining art and business (not to boast).  I decided that there was no good reason not to marry my strongest skill set (painting) with my passion (social activism) and make a business of it.  Now I blog about activism but I use my paintings to illustrate what I write about.  &quot;Painting journalism&quot; is closest fitting title I can think of.  I donate a portion of my art sales to corresponding to nonprofits.

So, the balance is certainly possible.  I love to see people who have crafted unique and effective ways to bring the two together!</description>
