Nice beginning walkthrough Mark. Twitter is definitely worth diving into, if you want some massive networking growth. It's really unmatched at this point.

Thanks for this entry. After I read it, I signed up on Twitter. Now I have a blog (alwayswow.com), a facebook, my own website (asiaminddynamics.com) and Twitter (nlpinasia).

Soon, I might be too busy to run my business, haha!

But it is good, and I would like to thank you for the entry. I heard of Twitter before but only joined after you provided this easy introductiong to it. And it has been good!

Great post, Web 2 has revolutionised the marketing, we have seen many companies jump on the bandwagon of web 2, but too many are creating the same platform, one platform looks identical to other, if teh trend continues we may soon see social media losing its character for which it was created.

Great instructions. Your post should make it easy for any beginner to get on Twitter and begin tweeting.

A great post Mark. I totally agree with you on all the benefits of Twitter especially as I work and live alone. Twitter has most definitely helped me connect in real life ie. meet face to face with people, including new friends.

Really? Well, maybe you don't want those people following you anyway. Nowt wrong with a little football banter now and again.

@Sam - Thanks! I tried to write the post I could have done with reading a a few years ago, when I couldn't see the point of Twitter.

@Finola - Good point about getting to know the person behind the Twitter page.

@David - I agree that personal revelation can be a two edged sword. I once posted what I thought was a harmless comment about a Dundee Utd v Celtic match and about 10 people unfollowed me immediately!

@Sandy - Does that mean you don't like Twitter either?

@Yvonne - great tips, twitter search is a wonderful tool for market research - and finding out what people are saying about you! And I love your rephrasing of the Twitter question. In fact I've just Tweeted it: http://twitter.com/markmcguinness/status/1658060276
