Coaching for Professional Artists and Creatives
Working as an independent artist or freelance creative is challenging on many levels.
Firstly, there’s the work itself. Consistently producing work that satisfies you - let alone your audience or clients - is a never-ending challenge. As well as the difficulties inherent in the art itself, the creative process becomes more complicated and pressurized when your living depends on it.
Then there’s the business side of things - managing and motivating yourself to deal with all the tasks that support your work - including networking, sales, marketing, negotiation, client management, admin and finance.
Independence is great, but for all of us there are days when we could do with an outside perspective on our work - not to tell us what to do, but to bounce ideas off, clarify our goals and decide on the next step.
Which is when it can be good to speak to someone who understands the kind of challenges you face, and can give you a fresh point of view. Someone who won’t just dish out advice, but is skilled at helping you make decisions and take action that gets the results you want.
I’ve been coaching creative professionals for over 10 years - the Freelancers page of my Wishful Thinking Creative Coaching website explains how I help artists and creatives achieve their creative and career goals.
I coach freelancers face-to-face in London, or by phone or webcam. So wherever you are in the world, we can arrange a session provided we can co-ordinate the time zones! Feel free to ask me if you have any questions about coaching and how it can help you.
